Dune, certainly, though nothing else Herbert wrote (to call the sequels disappointing would be a kindness). Ulysses is quite good once you figure out that the plot isn't linear -- though Finnegan's Wake is impossible without a PhD in Irish history. Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man is a wonderful read, and a better introduction to Joyce.rightwingprofhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12419372059353408855noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18251921.post-8783673136109711622007-03-04T19:19:00.000-05:002007-03-04T19:19:00.000-05:00Wow that's a great list...I've probably read abou...Wow that's a great list...I've probably read about half of those books, I love to read, but between work, kid and classes I don't seem to have the free time I used to.Tsiporahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01562128396326157686noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18251921.post-10854747123763169702007-03-03T20:17:00.000-05:002007-03-03T20:17:00.000-05:00I've probably read about 80% of this list.
