If you've wondered about the Irish/Gaelic roots of bluegrass music, wonder no more.

This is awesome.

Oh.

My.

God.

"Awesome" does not even begin to describe it. That is one of my favorite bluegrass songs of all time, and that is one of the best versions I've ever heard.

I thought you'd like it.

The Boston Pops has got to be the most versatile musical organization there is.

Followed you here from Nzinga's...

And man oh man, that was intoxicating! I have always loved bluegrass and celtic music (must be my irish/appalachian blood even though I grew up in New England).

I love the big sound of the orchestration.

You can take the girl out of the country but you can't take the country out of the girl, I reckon.

My city-girl daughter loves the music in "O Brother Where Art Thou".

I am a 41-year-old AA woman born and raised in Louisiana. That song and the music had every nerve in my body on end. I haven't had music do that to me in quite some time. So awesome!!!! It brought tears to my eyes. I'll probably be making trips to your site throughout the day to listen to this over and over.
