Well, poor Tertia. It wasn't meant to be.
I sometimes wonder (briefly, before I get over it) whether we weren't better off before we had all these tests available to us. In my grandmothers' day women knew they were menopausal when they stopped menstruating, although both mine had babies at 43 so possibly they had a bit of a surprise there.

Aw hell.
I know. I can't help wishing Tertia hadn't had that bloodwork done - she might never have known. What a needless emotional jerking-around.
My doctor couldn't find F's heartbeat at 6 weeks but she was serenely unworried so I was too. It showed up eventually. Maybe, MAYBE the baby's just hiding. I hate to give up this fast.
